Walking barefoot shoes
The Alpin hiking shoe - too pretty for hiking & too cool anyways... ;-)
Some buyers even use the super-light Alpin hiking boot for hiking. ;-) But most others don’t, they just wear them with jeans
to the city.
These customers just do whatever they want with our barefoot shoes… ;-) Nevertheless, this shoe is perfectly equipped for hiking outdoors. The softly padded topline is worth noting. It lets you
cover long distances without fatigue. This hiking shoe features our proven FZR-10 outsole. At only 2.9 mm, it is flexible and very thin.
Feel the ground structure while enjoying maximum protection against stones and gravel. The outsole’s asymmetric profile offers better grip and improved self-cleaning properties. On the inside,
our hiking boots feature a breathable beige leather lining. The beige insole is made of our sweat and odor-absorbing 1.6 mm thin Poron microfiber material.
We offer two versions of our Alpin hiking boot: The lightweight Alpin S trekking boot with side perforations, which also appear on the tongue. The perforations provide an improved foot
climate.
For colder days, we offer the Alpin W hiking boot. It comes without perforations. This version is lined with a 2 mm
layer of wool instead of leather. This keeps you on your feet warm even at very cold altitudes.
We manufacture both versions of the hiking boot from soft and very sturdy grained cowhide. This leather has proven its worth, and we also use it for our Storm winter shoes.
We use premium suede for the toe and heel caps. The hiking boots generally come in black leather. Fine beige seams offer an appealing contrast to the black leather and let you wear these shoes
with beige hiking pants.
One small shoe care tip: Because hiking boots are made for action, not for looks, you can treat these boots all over with leather wax (dubbin). This should repel water and protect this shoe
against water, for the most part.
